Join Ankati for an evening of Kirtan, the ancient yogic practice of devotional chanting.
Part storytelling, part meditation, part community song circle, Kirtan invites us to quiet the busy mind and open the heart through music. Together, we will explore the meanings behind traditional Sanskrit mantras, hear the stories of the Hindu gods and goddesses connected to them, and learn how these archetypal energies can support us in our own lives.
No singing experience is required. Kirtan is not about performance or sounding "good." It is about participation, presence, and connection. After learning the mantras, we will sing together in a simple call-and-response format while Ankati accompanies us on harmonium. Whether you choose to sing loudly, softly, or simply listen and absorb, all are welcome.
